Fairview was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They skirted past the Columbia Raiders 3-2. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Fairview wouldn't go down easily and took Columbia into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 26-28, 21-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Brooklyn Schmidt paced Fairview's offense, picking up 18 kills. Schmidt got some help from Chloe King and her 38 assists. Schmidt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Columbia, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.

Fairview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cuyahoga Heights on the 7th. As for Columbia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Oberlin on the 7th.
