Soccer Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Mourning

Mourning had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They never let the Dr. Krop Lightning onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give the Sharks' defense some credit: that's the team's seventh straight shutout.

Abraham Rodriguez and Joao Liebold scored both of Mourning's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Mourning pushed their record up to 8-1-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for Dr. Krop, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-2-1 record.

Mourning didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Ferguson on the 15th. As for Dr. Krop, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Doral Academy on the 13th.
