Football Recap: Belleview Christian Takes a Loss

Belleview Christian had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it eight. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the Clear Creek Golddiggers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 64-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Clear Creek, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.3 points this season.

Clear Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Guerrero out in front who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 162 rushing yards gave Guerrero a new career-high. Donovan Miller was in the mix too, providing Clear Creek with two scores.

Belleview Christian has already played their next matchup, a 42-0 defeat against Gilpin County on the 18th. As for Clear Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 52-6 win against Lyons on the 17th.
