Basketball Recap: Hallsville's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Jacksonville last Tuesday, Hallsville came back down to earth. The Hallsville Bobcats fell 43-30 to the Lufkin Panthers on Friday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hallsville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-9. As for Lufkin, the victory (which was their 26th in a row) raised their record to 29-2.

Hallsville and Lufkin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Hallsville will take on Whitehouse at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 610 places (116 vs. 726). Hallsville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Lufkin (ranked 25th) will meet Texas (ranked 280th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
