After a string of four wins, Halifax County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 78-59 bruising from the Person Rockets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-39 on December 4th.

Halifax County's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Person, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Halifax County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Person, they will take on Northern Durham at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
