Basketball Recap: Belmont Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Belmont's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Reading Memorial Rockets with points to spare, taking the game 52-34. This was a revenge game for the Marauders: when they faced off against the Rockets back in December of 2024, they had to take a 40-38 loss.

Belmont is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Reading Memorial, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belmont will welcome Arlington at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reading Memorial, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lexington at 5:30 p.m.
