Recap: De Leon Bearcats vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
After flying high against the Bangs Dragons on Friday, the De Leon Bearcats came back down to earth. The matchup between De Leon and Hamilton wasn't particularly close, with De Leon falling 53-37. De Leon lost against Hamilton in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-31 score last time.
Hamilton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mike Bushnell led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Devin Eanes, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
De Leon now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Hamilton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
De Leon will be playing at home against Anson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than De Leon in Texas (Anson is ranked 58th, while De Leon is ranked 813th). Hamilton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Crawford at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
