Softball Recap: Freehold Boro Takes a Loss

Freehold Boro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 16-5 to the Raritan Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-3 defeat on April 2nd.

Ashley Koppelman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Maria Nicosia, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Freehold Boro's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Raritan, the win keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freehold Boro will host Monmouth Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Raritan, they will be playing at home against Middletown South at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
