After a string of eight wins, West Carteret's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Croatan Cougars. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on October 1st.
