Lake Travis is 9-1 against Akins since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Lake Travis' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Akins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lake Travis blew Westlake out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Westlake got their revenge. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Chaparrals by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cavaliers have suffered since March 1st.

Meanwhile, Akins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against Bowie, falling 10-3.

Akins saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Krocka, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was Krocka's first of the season.

Lake Travis' loss dropped their record down to 16-8-3. As for Akins, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Everything went Lake Travis' way against Akins in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Lake Travis made off with a 7-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
