Softball Recap: Hebron Takes a Loss

Hebron was the 11-4 winner over Morgan Township when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cherokees on Saturday.

Bailey Dilbeck was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Siminski, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Hebron dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Morgan Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hebron will host Griffith at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morgan Township, they will welcome Hobart at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
