Softball Recap: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Cedar Reds

Desert Hills waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Cedar Reds onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Desert Hills, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lulu West made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. West has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. West was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Riley Greene was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Hallee Heath, who went 1-for-3 with a home run.
