Volleyball Recap: Alexander's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Alexander had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Meigs Marauders 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Alexander was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-12.

Alexander was led to victory by Ava McCall and Abbi Ohms. McCall had eight aces and five digs, while Ohms had 15 digs. Those eight aces gave McCall a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Alexander was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Alexander's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Meigs, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Alexander will head out to face off against Waterford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Meigs, they will face off against Nelsonville-York at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
