Baseball Recap: Sylacauga Comes Up Short

Sylacauga was the 6-0 winner over Holtville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sylacauga Aggies fell 12-8 to the Holtville Bulldogs on Friday. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jamaury Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Jett Clary also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Holtville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Sylacauga will take on Winterboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holtville, they will host Beauregard at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
