Two dominant backs in Duece Lawrence and Nix Fullen are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jackson Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson Christian will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Jackson Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Fayette Academy, posting a 49-8 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Eli Smith was his usual excellent self, rushing for 28 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 161 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes. Hudson Little was in the mix as well, providing Jackson Christian with one score.

Meanwhile, Tipton-Rosemark Academy played a tough contest last Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 55-21 loss at the hands of Evangelical Christian. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Jackson Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Jackson Christian has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 199.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Tipton-Rosemark Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 222.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything came up roses for Jackson Christian against Tipton-Rosemark Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-14 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Fullen, who rushed for 169 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
