Baseball Recap: Omaha North Vikings vs. Burke Bulldogs
Omaha North won against Columbus last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Omaha North Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Burke Bulldogs. That's two games straight that Omaha North has won by exactly two runs.
Max Bolouvi was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Flere, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
On Burke's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Foster, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Omaha North's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-16. As for Burke, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.
