Volleyball Recap: Anoka Takes Down Ranked Maple Grove

Anoka faced Maple Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tornadoes came out on top against the Crimson by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

Among those leading the charge was Alex Seaman, who had ten digs and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Anoka is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Maple Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Coming up, Anoka will host Champlin Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maple Grove, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Lac qui Parle Valley on the 9th.
