Softball Recap: Naaman Forest Comes Up Short

Naaman Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Wylie Pirates, falling 22-0. The Rangers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Naaman Forest's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Wylie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Naaman Forest will head out to face off against Lakeview Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Naaman Forest has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Wylie, they will be playing at home against Rowlett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wylie knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Rowlett likes a good challenge.
