Softball Recap: New Prague Trojans vs. Jefferson Jaguars
New Prague got themselves on the board against Jefferson on Thursday, but Jefferson never followed suit. They had just enough and edged the Jefferson Jaguars out 1-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as New Prague also won the last time the pair played back in April.
Jordyn Marsh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Marsh has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Marsh was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run.
New Prague's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Jefferson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
