Softball Recap: Clint Lions vs. Mountain View Lobos

Clint can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They never let the Mountain View Lobos onto the board and left with a 19-0 win. The victory was just what Clint needed coming off of a 10-0 defeat in their prior matchup.

Nichole Flores made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Flores has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Flores was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Clint got a massive performance out of Delilah Ortiz, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, six RBI, and two runs. Kenni Giraud was another key contributor, going 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

On Mountain View's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazmine Varela, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.

San Elizario knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Mountain View likes a good challenge.
