Belleville East is 8-2 against Jersey since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Lancers will welcome the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. Belleville East is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Jersey's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Belleville East hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Lancers never let Alton get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Mascoutah hit Jersey with a seven-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Panthers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Jersey saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Maleah Derrick was another, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Jersey now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Belleville East, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Belleville East was able to grind out a solid win over Jersey in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-2. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
