While Palmyra-Macedon's win against Newark wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 victory over the Reds on Wednesday. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Reds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Briana VanHaneghan was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Kaedy Andross, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Palmyra-Macedon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Newark, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Palmyra-Macedon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Reds: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
