Basketball Recap: Leetonia Comes Up Short

Leetonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 31-16 to the East Palestine Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-23 back in December of 2024.

Leetonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for East Palestine, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14.

Leetonia will head out to square off against David Anderson at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. East Palestine has already played their next contest (against Southern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
