Basketball Recap: Ponce De Leon Takes a Loss

Ponce De Leon lost against Chipley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ponce De Leon Pirates fell 52-43 to the Chipley Tigers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ponce De Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Chipley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ponce De Leon and Blountstown will face off at 6:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Chipley, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chipley Tigers challenge the Central Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chipley is facing Central at the right time seeing as Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
