Basketball Recap: San Diego Takes a Loss

San Diego has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 72-32 defeat at the hands of the Incarnate Word Academy Angels on Saturday. The Vaqueros lost against the Angels in their previous head to head back in December of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-51 score last time.

San Diego's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.

San Diego has already played their next contest, a 51-46 victory against Santa Gertrudis Academy on the 31st. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will host Sinton at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Incarnate Word Academy is facing Sinton at the right time seeing as Sinton is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
