Volleyball Recap: Frankton Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Frankton duked it out with Muncie Burris on Thursday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Owls. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Owls when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-5, 25-14.

Macy Curtis paced Frankton's offense, picking up five kills. Curtis got some help from Claire Osborne and her six assists.

Piper Lanning was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since September 3rd.

Frankton's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Muncie Burris, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Frankton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Daleville on the 27th. As for Muncie Burris, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Winchester Community on the 30th.
