Baseball Game Preview: Lenoir City Panthers vs. Hardin Valley Academy Hawks

Lenoir City is 0-9 against Hardin Valley Academy since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Lenoir City has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lenoir City fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against McMinn Central on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 11-10.

Meanwhile, Hardin Valley Academy got the win against West on Wednesday by a conclusive 9-2. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won eight in a row.

Hardin Valley Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-7-1. As for Lenoir City, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.

Lenoir City might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Hardin Valley Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
