Softball Recap: Loudoun County Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Loudoun County's offense. They fell just short of the Briar Woods Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Captains were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Loudoun County and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Briar Woods, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loudoun County will welcome Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pride will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Briar Woods, they will take on Woodgrove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 13.7 runs per game this season.
