Recap: Fountain Inn Fury vs. Southside Tigers
The Fountain Inn Fury entered their tilt with the Southside Tigers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Fountain Inn strolled past Southside with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fountain Inn also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Fountain Inn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tori Bell, who scored 13 points. Cameron Thompson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Fountain Inn is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Southside, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fountain Inn will take on Powdersville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Powdersville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday. As for Southside, they will be playing at home against Wren at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wren is coming into the matchup with eight straight wins on the road, meaning Southside will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
