Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn on Wednesday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 12-1 to the Hinton Blackhawks on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Blackhawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hinton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe George-Little Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hinton will challenge rival Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blackhawks 2.4, the Royals 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
