Baseball Recap: Athens Finds Home Field Redemption Against Edgar

There's no place like home for Athens, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Edgar Wildcats by a score of 8-3 on Friday. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Athens pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edgar, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Athens will head out to take on Rosholt at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Edgar, they are taking a road trip to challenge Neillsville/Granton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
