Football Game Recap: Young Americans Christian vs. Covenant Christian Academy

It was all tied up at the half for Young Americans Christian and Covenant Christian Academy on Friday, but Young Americans Christian stepped up in the second half. Young Americans Christian were able to grind out a solid victory over Covenant Christian Academy, winning 10-0. Covenant Christian Academy can consider this payback for the 16-44 loss they dealt Young Americans Christian the last time the teams encountered one another.

Junior Dean Thomas, who picked up 195 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Young Americans Christian's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Jalen Chin, who racked up ten tackles.

The win bumped Young Americans Christian's record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Covenant Christian Academy back to even at 2-2.

Young Americans Christian will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against New Creation Christian Academy in two weeks at 7:30 PM. Covenant Christian Academy will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Peoples Baptist Academy.
