Basketball Recap: Mikey Bartu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Exeter-Milligan/Friend over Johnson-Brock

Exeter-Milligan/Friend lost against Johnson-Brock two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats lost to the Johnson-Brock Eagles on the road by a 48-34 margin.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mikey Bartu, who posted ten points and four steals. Bartu is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Mason Vossler was another key player, putting up eight points.

Camden Dalinghaus continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Johnson-Brock, earning 18 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Meyer, who put up four points and 15 boards.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Johnson-Brock, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend has already played their next game, a 68-49 victory against McCool Junction on the 11th. As for Johnson-Brock, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Freeman is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Johnson-Brock a 15-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
