Volleyball Recap: Orange Park Comes Up Short

Orange Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Oakleaf Knights, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Orange Park was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Oakleaf work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-22.

Braylee Absher paced Orange Park's offense, picking up five kills. Absher got some help from Camryn Hiscox and her seven assists. Absher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Orange Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Oakleaf, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Coming up, Orange Park will square off against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oakleaf, they will face off against Bartram Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
