Volleyball Game Preview: McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars vs. Hanson Beavers

The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Hanson Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, McCook Central/Montrose made easy work of Canistota and carried off a 3-0 victory.

McCook Central/Montrose walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-16.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hanson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Viborg/Hurley on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-15, 25-19.

Hanson's victory bumped their record up to 12-17. As for McCook Central/Montrose, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

McCook Central/Montrose came up short against Hanson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Fighting Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
