It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Geneva had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over the Amundsen Vikings. Considering Geneva has won seven matches by more than 22 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
A big part of Geneva's win came down to the chemistry between Anthony Chahino and his top target Talyn Taylor. Chahino threw for 282 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes while Taylor picked up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Finnegan Weppner also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.
Geneva's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Amundsen, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
As of now, neither Geneva nor Amundsen have any future games scheduled.
