Soccer Game Preview: Arvada vs. Sheridan

The Arvada Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Sheridan Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arvada will be strutting in after a win while Sheridan will be coming in after a defeat.

Arvada will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Fort Lupton on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Bluedevils 5-0. Considering Arvada have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Fort Lupton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nora Rice (2), Carmen Medina, Abigail Lopez Avila, and Chanel Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, Sheridan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Englewood, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that Sheridan have lost by exactly ten goals.

Sheridan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Arvada, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Everything went Arvada's way against Sheridan in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Arvada made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
