Basketball Recap: Warsaw W Comes Up Short

Warsaw W was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 30-19 to the Kingsway Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-40 back in November of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Warsaw W saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gavin Gress posted four points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those eight boards gave Gress a new career-high.

Warsaw W's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Kingsway Christian, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Coshocton Christian the next time they take the court. Warsaw W will head out to face Coshocton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Kingsway Christian will host them at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
