Softball Recap: Northwest Vikings vs. Lexington Minutemen

Northwest entered their tilt with Lexington on Monday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They were the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over the Lexington Minutemen. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Libby Loman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kyra Ray was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since back in September. Liliana Martinez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
