Baseball Game Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Yukon Millers

The Tate Aggies will be taking part in a tournament against the Yukon Millers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tate will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Tate proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Charles Page 5-4.

Keelan Beasley looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaden Posta, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Connor Dethlefs was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Yukon fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Gulf Breeze on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 17-16. One positive for the Millers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Tate's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Yukon, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Tate beat Yukon 5-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Tate repeat their success, or does Yukon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
