Baseball Game Preview: Raymondville Bearkats vs. St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds

The Raymondville Bearkats will head out on the road to face off against the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Raymondville came up short against La Feria on Monday, falling 15-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bearkats in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Raymondville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Rodriguez hit this season. Jacob Sosa was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Joseph Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanna on Saturday, sneaking past 4-3.

St. Joseph Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Raymondville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Raymondville beat St. Joseph Academy 5-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2018. Will Raymondville repeat their success, or does St. Joseph Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
