Volleyball Recap: Ruskin Golden Eagles vs. Winnetonka Griffins
Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Winnetonka Griffins, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Griffins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-10.
Kanise Moore paced Ruskin's offense, picking up three kills. Moore got some help from Jordyn Tinsley and her five assists. Tinsley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Ruskin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Ruskin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Truman on the 9th. As for Winnetonka, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Van Horn on the 9th.
