East Peoria extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 20-7 in the process. Everything went their way against the Metamora Redbirds as they made off with a 15-4 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

R.J. Duncheon was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

In other pitching news, Korbin Parker looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Jackson Ahrens was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Roman Moody, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

East Peoria was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Metamora only posted a batting average of .185.

As for Metamora, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 26th.

On Metamora's side, Avery Grebner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Grebner is becoming a predictor of the Redbirds' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 8-14 when he doesn't).

East Peoria will have a chance to go back-to-back against Metamora: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
