Football Recap: Stigler Comes Up Short

Stigler lost against Locust Grove back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 24-22. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brylar Honeycutt threw for 259 yards on 20 of 41 attempts. Carter Hutchison was his top target, picking up 116 receiving yards. On the ground, Morgan Peery rushed for 151 yards and a pair of scores.

Stigler's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Locust Grove, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Stigler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-25 victory against Muldrow on the 31st. As for Locust Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 44-26 defeat against Holland Hall on the 31st.
