There's no place like home for Mechanicsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Gettysburg Warriors on Friday. With the Wildcats ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Despite the loss, Gettysburg still got an impressive performance from Preston Burnett, who rushed for 130 yards and one touchdown.

Mechanicsburg's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Gettysburg, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mechanicsburg will square off against rival Red Land at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 10, the Patriots 15) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Gettysburg is set to take on their familiar foe Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
