Taunton entered their tilt with Durfee on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Hilltoppers 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against the Hilltoppers since June 14, 2021.

Taunton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Durfee between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

Travis Johnson paced Taunton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Johnson got some help from Daniel Freitas and his 22 assists. Freitas also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Stherry Simon, racking up four apiece.

Taunton's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Durfee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
