Basketball Recap: Hubbard Comes Up Short

Hubbard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-23 loss at the hands of the Mildred Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-22 on January 3rd.

Hubbard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Mildred, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hubbard Jaguars face off against the Kerens Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mildred, they will square off against Italy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mildred is on a three-game streak of home wins, Italy a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
