Notre Dame posted their closest win since October 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Castilleja Gators 3-2. For the Regents, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

Notre Dame was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13.

The win got Notre Dame back to even at 1-1.

Notre Dame didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Pioneer on the 4th. As for Castilleja, they will square off against Mission San Jose at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Gators surely won't give up without a fight.
