Soccer Recap: Monroe-Woodbury Starts Season with Victory at Home

Monroe-Woodbury gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Shenendehowa Plainsmen a 2-0 shutout. Monroe-Woodbury's winning goal came courtesy of Francisco CORDOVA DE ALBA.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe-Woodbury will host Bethlehem Central at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shenendehowa, they will challenge Guilderland at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
