Basketball Recap: Hertford County Has No Trouble Against Martin County

It's playoff time, and Hertford County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Martin County Gators with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Karae' Alfred was a one-woman wrecking crew for Hertford County as she dropped a triple-double with ten points, 13 rebounds, and ten blocks. The dominant performance gave Alfred a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn White, who posted 13 points and eight steals.

The win got Hertford County back to even at 13-13. As for Martin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.

Hertford County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-31 defeat against Seaforth on the 4th. Martin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
